The Burlesque revival has been an amazing phenomenon, and an artistic pursuit which helps underpin the return of absinthe as the bedrock beverage fueling the attitudes of neolibertines.

One such Burlesque performer who has taken the inspiration quite literally is Australia’s own Lola the Vamp, who has recently finished her sold out Bohemia national tour where the spirit of the Green Fairy was manifested amongst the moods of 19th century Parisian cabaret culture. This, on top of finishing a support gig for Nick Cave and being voted Penthouse Pet of the Month, makes for one very busy fae.
